Welcome to the Fish*Net

By Heather Carpenter | August 25, 2008

Fisher College has invested in a new job search tool for students and alumni, the Fish*Net. The Fish*Net, similar to Monster or Careerbuilder, is a web-based system operated by Experience.com. The system allows Fisher College students and alumni to post resumes, have resumes searchable by employers, research job industries, build an e-portfolio and search for jobs and internships. All Fisher College day students are already in the system and can access it as follows:

Username: Student’s Fisher College email address

Password: First 4 letters of Student’s last name and last 4 numbers of Student’s ID number

Division of Continuing Education Students and Fisher College Alumni may contact the Office of Career Services either through email or telephone to be put into the system.

Contact Info: careerservices@fisher.edu or (617) 236-8838

Unlike the previous job listing system the Fish*Net allows students to search for jobs throughout the country. Jobs that are posted by the Fisher College Office of Career Services will be indicated with a flag. All other jobs are throughout the Experience network. Additionally, if employers sign up to be linked to the school they may post jobs for free!

I am very excited that Fisher College has decided to invest in such a system to give students an advantage in searching for both local internships and part-time jobs and for their career search upon graduation. I look forward to utilizing the system while working with you all on your career development.
